Bought my first lot of seeds yesterday and started planting today. This is my first time growing veg so  with all the tips fromGIY and a little luck we should be eating from the garden this year .  I have potatoes out to chit and will be planting them in a potatoe grow bag and on advice I got at the first meeting have planted carrot seeds in toilet roll tubes to be planted out later .  Still have tomatoes scallions salad cucumbers and onions to plant but the good news is my husband has caught the GIY bug so it looks like I will have a lot of help.We are hoping to put some raised beds in over the next month just in time for planting out and then a herb bed is next on the list.
